Violence Barometer

Exercise description

Suggested statements for the barometer:

  • If I felt under threat, I would use violence in such circumstances.
  • Better violence than cowardice.
  • A victim can be the perpetrator of violence.
  • Violence is the opposite of nonviolence.

Type of exercise:


15-60 min


The Barometer should not last for more than 20–30 minutes, because people will get tired standing on their feet and this will lead to a drop in attention when listening to others.
